Hello, How Can I Help You?
Funded Mar 24, 2022I would like to thank you all for your donations to our project!! My students were thrilled when the Fresh Mart Grocery Store, the ice cream counter, the pizza play set and other fun materials were delivered. At this young age, all of their learning is accomplished by playing. With the grocery store my students are learning many math skills that will set the foundation for the rest of their school career. They are also learning socio-emotional skills as they role play and pretend to be the customers and owners. As the students play with these materials they are increasing their oral language skills.
Thank you for choosing to invest in my classroom. These materials and resources will greatly impact my current students and many more to come.”

Funded Apr 21, 2022I would like to thank you for your generosity!! Your donation to our project put smiles on my students' faces. They were all anxious to get their to turn to paint.
The hardwood easel, paintbrushes and paint cups have provided so many benefits for my students. Through the use of these materials my students have improved their fine-motor skills, their eye-hand coordination, and spatial attention. As my students painted they had to imagine and plan in their mind what their artwork would consist of. Each student had multiple opportunities to be creative and express themselves. The artwork produced by my students turned out to be astounding masterpieces. The students were so proud of their work and were anxious to take them home to share with their families.
Thank you again for giving my students this experience and instilling in them a love for art.”

Funded Nov 10, 2021Thank you for your generous contributions!! My students enjoy learning and more so when they are actively involved.
My students are thriving with our new resources!! The adjustable pocket chart is being used for students to respond to the question of the day. When everyone has had an opportunity to answer the question on the pocket chart, we discuss the pictograph we have created with their responses. I am using the writing page to model proper letter formation, sentences and much more. The students are using their bone shaped erasers, markers and writing whiteboards to practice the letter of the week. As they write the letter they are also practicing the sound of the letter.
Thank you again for providing these hands on materials so learning can take place in a meaningful and engaging way for my students!!”

Funded Nov 10, 2021I would like to start off by thanking you for funding our project!! My students were beyond excited to receive the social emotional books, wooden puzzles, whiteboards and markers!
These new resources have made it easier for my students to understand what they are feeling and to express themselves. We use the social-emotional cards every morning as visuals to help each student choose the picture that best represents the way they feel. The students then use the whiteboards and colorful markers to draw the emotion they are feeling. We have been using the feelings books as read alouds which lead in to meaningful conversations about how our bodies feel when we experience certain emotions. During small group instruction we use the social-emotional match up puzzles. These puzzles help my students make the right choices depending on the specific scenario as well as explore different feelings.
Once again thank you for supplying these much needed resources for my students. They are all strengthening their skills to express themselves and make the correct choices.”

Funded Apr 25, 2021I am deeply touched by your kindness. Your donations have made an immense impact to my students.
As you are aware, this school year was challenging for our youngest learners. Your donations helped provide essential learning materials that were in high demand during distance learning. My students each received a backpack filled with hands-on learning materials. The students were excited to use the colorful links for classifying, number representation and addition. The foam letters were used for letter identification, building their names and making words. The construction paper served to create artwork connecting to the literature we read together. For example, when we read The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle, the students enjoyed creating their own grouchy ladybug. The play-doh allowed for my students to use their creativity and at the same time improve their fine motor skills. My student were always excited to share through zoom their new play-doh creations.
All of these materials were necessary for my students' success and I would like to thank you again for providing them during this pandemic.”

Funded Aug 10, 2020Thank you for funding our project! We are having a lot of success in our distant learning class with the use of our new technology.
Since we are not in the classroom it is very hard to explain many skills to my preschools students that are both English language learners and visual learners. As a teacher, I am constantly modeling everything I expect my students to do. With the use of both the document camera and the tablet it has been so much easier for the students to follow directions and complete expected work from home. My students enjoy seeing their teacher doing the same work they are. Using the white board has helped my students develop concepts of print and writing skills.
There is still a lot for my preschools students to learn. I want to thank you for supplying me with the necessary technology I need to teach them all I can as we make their school experience significant.”

In our zoom class our English language learners have expanded their vocabulary with the use of the early language activity boxes. Students have learned to categorize, compare and contrast items, and sequence items.
Thank you for providing these developmentally appropriate materials for our students as they learn from home.
There is no stopping us now!”
