The materials included in our wish list will help all 32 of my students reach their full potential. Due to the current COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions, many of our day-to-day procedures and routines have been dramatically changed. With no longer being able to share materials, books, tools, or manipulative, our classroom is in need of additional supplies. These items will help ALL learners, whether we are in person or virtual. These items will also allow me, as a teacher, to ensure that each student is prepared with every single thing that is needed to fully participate in learning - despite the pandemic. The classroom items will be used to keep students organized as they transition between learning at home and at school, the gift card will be used to purchase activities for virtual learners and many of the supplies are needed due to the fact that items cannot be shared at all within the classroom - so more is needed! We also send some materials home with students since they learn asynchronously three days a week - so we want to ensure they each have what they need to engage in meaningful tasks! The electronic copies of Time for Kids are a great resource for students to use while learning virtually. These electronic magazines provide both fiction and non-fiction reading fluency and comprehension practice. The power strips and other classroom items will be used before sharing of chargers for iPads is not allowed and the power strips allow for students to have access when needed. We want to keep learning FUN, we want to keep learning RELEVANT but most importantly, we want to keep learning SAFE.
