  • Supplies for Success

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Since day one my students have hit the ground working and learning. Upon entering the classroom students begin using the supplies. Science is the most enthusiastic time of the day for most of the students. The notebooks, pencils, and crayons assist with the interactive lessons. The students enjoy working in their notebooks and looking back on the different lessons such as light sources and magnet lessons where students were able to draw the magnets with the colored poles. Additionally, the backpacks provided a great deal of joy when the two students who were not able to afford a backpack for school. The impact letters will show the excitement. I asked the students to smile for the cameras but they were so filled with enthusiasm I was not able to get a good picture of their facial expressions.

You have made a significant impact on the lives of my students who many have expressed love and thanks to me for the supplies. I have shared the origin of the supplies are from donors but I believe this to be an abstract idea so I thank you for the opportunity to make my students smile in the midst of the obstacles they must overcome.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Welch-Lark

  • Literacy Games Galore!

    Funded May 20, 2022

The students are even more excited to visit the workstations. They are getting it and they believe it to be a game and I am excited that even the students who once shied away from stations are excited to try the activities. Students are in a hurry to retrieve the new resources during their rotation and most of the students immediately begin working.

Students need constant encouragement to improve performance.

The new resources pique their curiosity and stimulate their minds to achieve the goal of success. Having varied learning approaches provided by the literacy game/activities is enabling my students with a fun approach to increasing achievement and demonstrating growth.”

  • Mini Gen. Alpha Stars

    Funded Apr 15, 2022

This project brought a special glow on faces of my students and I am confident that it will enhance student use of technology in the future. Because this technology is one of the most newest Apple technology As I have witnessed with my own eyes, this generation of students learn better when learning appears on a screen of technology.

This new product is exciting because the students noticed the Apple symbol which made them realize this was a valuable asset to the class and the comments expressed showed the students all wanted to be responsible for this new addition. Although there are a few other technology resources utilized by the students, being able to access the district's digital resources through this rotation of this product has caused the behavior of some of the students to improve. This product has been very impactful and is greatly appreciated.”

  • Literacy Learners Pushing Through the Pandemic

    Funded Feb 10, 2022

Students now have multiple varied opportunities to work with letter sounds and building words which is the donation of the magnetic letters. They were very excited about the box which one students commented that we now have a thousand letters. The jumbo magnetic letters are large enough for the students to manipulate. The smaller magnetic letters provide my students a more personal approach to working with words and sounds. They love being able to have a personal touch on the workstations as they manipulate the phonics activities. One of the activities is the students use the letters to practice the phonics pattern of the week.

The motivational stickers might be small but my students light up when they receive small tokens of encouragement. As a classroom teacher I have accumulated many resources and the printer will allow me to print the resources in a colored copy as opposed to black and white. when students work with stations that have colored materials, they are more enthusiastic and engaged.”

  • Technology to Move Tiers

    Funded Mar 20, 2022

When funds are limited in schools, subsequently resources can be limited as well. The donation of technology overwhelmed my students with joy. Having personal technology to participate in learning activities proved to be a priceless addition to my classroom. My students enthusiastically said how much they enjoyed being able to work on the digital resources provided by the district with devices that had their information saved. A few mentioned how they didn't have a phone or tablet at home and how the tablets funded was a nice gift and they wished to thank the people who gave to the class. I was exceptionally surprised how responsible they were with the technology and the sense of ownership and accountability they displayed in caring for the laptops. Once again your donation is and will be greatly appreciated.”

  • Pupils Progressing With Technology

    Funded Feb 14, 2022

Since many of my students have limited access to devices to enrich their learning at home, this was the rationale of a technology request. Since my students are tech-savvy eager learners who are among the generation born with a technological device in their hands using technology in the classrooms is second-nature and manipulating the technology to navigate digital resources provided to students by the district has been a rewarding experience for my students and me as their teacher. The increased of daily access to the technology has proven effective.

What is most exciting is a sense of ownership that the students have taken not only of the technology but of their learning. Some of my more struggling students have voiced the growth they have made in their lessons because of the additional exposure and not having to wait extended days to access the technology. The observable impact of the donated technology has been most rewarding to me their teacher.”

  • Comfy Seats, Tasty Treats

    Funded Apr 15, 2022

The amazement and the genuine excitement on the faces of my students as I proceeded to unwrap and fully open the seats is memorable. Many verbally expressed the desire to visit the workstations that allowed the flexible seating.

The comfortable seating has enabled a more productive learning and working environment particularly for my students who need the extra to make learning more inviting. Having comfortable seating will enable them to be accountable within their own learning space. I have noticed that spacing my students with the seats has resulted in great results. My kiddos now have the versatility of being able to position themselves around the classroom. In addition the flexible seating enabled the reward of more students with the tasty encouragement from the snack boxes and treats assisting with the move toward the finish line of the school year.

I am forever grateful for the generosity of donors like you that assist with educators like myself with impacting the lives of young learners.”
