This Teachers Pay Teachers gift card allowed me to purchase many types of materials. I was able to buy activities that are engaging for students. I was able to use these activities when I need an extra boost in my lessons. Students really enjoy having sorting activities, fun writing lesson and crafts to go along with those writing units. Students who need a little more practice with a topic are able to have that extra practice with these materials and have fun doing so. They also love doing STEM activities that go along with stories we have read.
These are activities that I can continue to use for many years to come.”

The materials I received have helped my class tremendously. Being able to use a colored printer, and make fun centers for my students has been very helpful. Students are very engaged when they are able to see pictures and photographs clearly. It is especially helpful when I am able to print materials that will help me teach Informational texts. We focus a lot on learning text features and having clear information is much more engaging than black and white materials.
I also used bright colored paper to make math and language centers with holiday themes. I often heard my students' excitement when their pages were a fun pink and red for Valentine's Day. The simple change of a colored paper makes the same math activities come to life.
I look forward to making more fun and engaging activities for all my students.”

There are many times we would like to print something to show the kids and we have to have it black and white, that's not always as engaging as having something in color. Thankfully, we were able to start printing things in color for us and for our students to use.
Students are much more engaged in sorts or non-fiction texts when they can see the colorful details. We are learning about different life-cycles and they love seeing all the colors our materials have, instead of the typical black and white pages we had.”

When I received this package and my students saw what was in the box they would not stop talking from their excitement. They wanted to get into the boxes right away.
My students have loved using the Coding Buddies. They get very excited when our lesson involves using them.
We have been able to use them with partners and as a whole group activity. They enjoy coding the buddies to make them land on a specific spot. I have incorporated practicing sight words with them and practicing math fluency.

My students did a whole year of online school and missed out on a lot. Students are back now and are thrilled, just like I am! My first grade students missed the ability to have books in their little hands, and laugh at the silly characters and what silly things they are getting into.
Mo Willems's books are a favorite among first graders. I have added more of his books to my classroom library and have also given some to my students as gifts. They love receiving new books to take home. They love to read about Piggy and Gerald and the friendship they have.”

Thank you so much for your support. It is very important for my students to read and listen to stories that have characters that represent them. Most of our last school year was virtual and I was able to use these books in some lessons. These were also the very first books they read or listening to in a classroom. They were all very excited to see brand new books.
I have a couple of students this year who have gravitated to a particular book where the character has the same kind of hair as they do. This means a lot to them and even if they can't read the book by themselves, they enjoy looking at the book and making their own story to go along. These books have been a great addition to my classroom.”

This technology will help them increase their math scores on a school wide program. I have slow and out of date computers in my classroom. These computers do not allow my to progress as much as they could.
Technology is becoming a way of life; giving my students the ability to have technology in their hands would be a tremendous experience.
