Thank you for your generous donation! I'm so excited to be able to laminate flash cards for art vocabulary games and art image games. This laminator will help me make learning fun and interactive. The dry erase markers are for writing or drawing on top of lamination pouches that are designed for this purpose.I will be happy to share images of the materials I create for students use.Thank you for making our classroom engaging!”
Thank you for your generous donation. My students are so excited for this project and the items you have funded are the last process of equipment that we need to put it all together.I look forward to sharing photos with you when we complete the project. The students will enjoy taking care of the living environment.”
Thank you for your generous donation. The color printer cartridges have helped me provide students with an opportunity to print out their digital art from our new digital art club. The students love sharing their digital art digitally but it is also nice to be able to print out their favorite pieces and display them within the school community. Students also like turning some of their art into cards they can share with family members on special occasions. The printer cartridges also help provide visual resources in color. The resources that I print like flashcards based on the elements and principles of art can be laminated and preserved for use. These types of resources make art more hands-on and engaging. Students like to work in partners or in small groups and they also enjoy having a variety of activities that they can learn from throughout the week. The color printouts help to add variety to my instructional strategies along with making the learning materials more visually appealing and hands-on..”
Thank you for your generous donation the sketchbooks and journals have been a great resource for students to use for mental health. Our art club members each received a sketchbook that they personalized using sharpies and creative designs on the outside. They are proud of and highly interested in drawing in their sketchbooks and look forward to coming to Art Club to draw in their own creative book. The three High School classes that I teach also received a sketchbook that they use as a daily reflective Journal. Students are asked to write something that they valued from today's lesson and something that is not clear and would like more understanding about each day. They also engage in quick warm-up drawings so that they can recognize that drawing is a foundational skill to many visual art forms and should be practiced as much as possible, especially in the form of loose quick pencil sketches. Thank you again for making our art program more meaningful and engaging for our students.”

Thank you for your generous donation. This year at Sports and Medical Science Academy we have our first after school digital art club. The charging ports and extra iPad pencil tips and caps will help us be able to continue having the digital art club for years to come. The charging ports have provided a convenient way to store and charge the iPads and pencils in the art storage closet. I even found a great sixth grade student who is proud to help be an iPad and pencil maintenance leader as she has helped label all of the devices, manage the charging ports and pencil caps along with many wires. These types of 21st century skills are needed by our students and it's great to be able to provide them with an opportunity to increase their digital literacy through the Arts. Many students have benefited from the technical support equipment that you have helped provide.”

Thank you for your generous donation. The students enjoy eating snacks during Art Club and spending time with people who have the same interests. The snacks provide an opportunity for students to relax after the school day and time to socialize and enjoy the company of their peers. After the snack students are ready and look forward to working on their digital painting projects because they are not feeling distracted by hunger or low energy due to their late afternoon cravings before dinner. The art club students always rush to the art room after school on Thursdays and are happy to pick out a snack because they stay from 2:45 to 4:30 sometimes being picked up at 5:00 p.m. The snacks help students stay energized and creative into the late afternoon.”

Thank you for your donation. The Microsoft tablet has allowed our digital art club to explore Adobe creative cloud apps and has provided access to photoshop .The students liked being able to try the iPad with Pixar and the Microsoft surface with full access to adobe's robust apps. The digital art club has grown from 6 to 15 to 20 students. They are very curious about trying out digital painting! It's great to see how the students work together to solve any technical roadblocks that prevent them from using the tools in the drawing and painting apps. This has been a great experience for all students involved!”

Many of my students enjoy working in collaborative learning groups. The groups are often "limited" to hard copies and materials that are prepared before class and provided during the learning activities. I would like to add a Chromebook as a resource for each group of 5 students. The addition of technology to the learning groups will make many resources available for research during group projects. The groups will be able to choose an artist, an art movement, or art medium that they are curious about and will then conduct research in class together as a group. The learning groups will be able to prepare multi-media presentations that they can then share with the whole class. The presentations will include PowerPoint slide shows enriched with many visual images, text, and group/individual artworks.
There will be limitless "art images" available for students to choose from as we engage in "close reading" and the "art criticism process". My goal is to increase my students' visual literacy skills by providing more opportunities for "choice" in selecting subject matter that is meaningful to them and motivates them to be invested in their learning and group contributions.
Please help me provide the students with an opportunity to be 21st century learners in the art room. The art room is a great place for students to be lead by their curiosity and technology can help my students turn curiosity into creative discoveries. Their creative process will be stirred and supported by the visual/informational resources made available through the addition of Chromebooks.
