Often times, rural schools are overlooked. This is especially true when it comes to reading materials. My high school students are thoughtful and introspective,and they deserve books that reflect that. However, my district just cannot provide these for them. So I am reaching out for help. My high school students are thoughtful and introspective, they deserve books and materials that are not run down and ruined. All of my districts Lord of the Flies books have fallen apart due to weather and years of wear and tear. The kids love that book, and really get into the themes. Yet, without new one's we will not be able to have those books anymore and will have to turn to something else, or not read at all. I am begging for help in this matter because I want my students to know there are people out there that care about their education.
