Many of the items listed are meant to be used as student behavior incentives. PBIS rewards is a system implemented to promote positive behavior and the store in my classroom will be fully stocked with the meaningful prizes that are included in this project. Many of the student in my class in particular struggle with behavior issues which has been worsened due to virtual learning during Covid. Help me incentivize positive behavior with the items listed here like, snacks, fidgets & stickers. Students in my resource math classes are working to learn grade level content. Recently we have been working on the major content cluster related to proportions in 7th grade and transformations and angles in 8th grade (NV 7.RP.A.2.A, 7.RP.A.2.B, 7.RP.A.2.C & 7.RP.A.2.D) as well as 8.G.A.1, 8.G.A.3 & 8.G.A.5.) Materials listed here like rules, pencils and dry erase markers are essential to students having the necessary tools to complete their work. Finally our school building is very old and it shows. Students got used to being comfortable at home during Covid and are feeling frustrated with being back at school. Relatively small things like more calming lighting options and live plants go a long way to making students feel welcome in my classroom and also providing an environment where they want to be.
