These materials will allow the students in my class, especially the girls, to learn 21st century skills through exploring, circuits, coding and robotics. The skills that they learn now in preschool will assist them in their education throughout their life. I attended a squishy circuits, robotics and simple machines workshop at William Paterson University given by Professor Cindy Gennarelli. I would love to supply my students with the necessary materials to explore these 21st century skills and implement what I learned in the workshop in my classroom. These materials will give my students the foundation necessary to have a successful educational career. The coding games will give them an introduction to the world of coding and how to use it in a meaningful way. They will be able to use team work and critical thinking skills to accomplish a coding challenge. The batteries, motors, lights, and squishy circuits kit will introduce them to how electricity and robotics work. Thank you for your consideration and anticipated support in this meaningful endeavor.
