This year I have 25 students in my classroom, made up of 16 girls and 9 boys. I have many different cultural backgrounds in my room as well, including Caucasian, African American, and Hispanic. Each student brings something unique to the classroom each day, and at the age of 5, they love coming to school more than anything! Every week, we focus on a theme in social studies or science, and they love hearing on Mondays what they will be learning about for that week! They also get excited knowing that a 'cool' art project will be happening later in the week and they can not wait to hang it up in the classroom and through the school hallways!
