Students want their peers to hear what they have to say. However, some students have a difficult time projecting their voices in order for their classmates to clearly understand what they are trying to communicate. Learning from a peer is very beneficial, however, you can only learn from another person if you can hear what they have to say. Students will be able to hear each other when their voices are magnified. The Qball allows even the most quiet talkers a chance to be heard. The Qball increases student engagement by making participation in class discussions fun and memorable. Students are learning how to become better communicators within their community. The Qball will allow them to achieve their speaking and listening goals. Not only does the Qball make class discussions manageable, but it can improve student motivation and participation. Background noise can make it difficult for a presenter's voice to be heard, causing students to miss out on something important. Who wouldn't want to catch and throw the Qball to learn? Students will stay engaged and will want to participate in order to have a turn throwing the microphone ball. The Qball will definitely help increase their presentation skills.
