Positive Prizes for Caring Cubs
Funded Dec 4, 2024Thank you for your generous donations for the "Positive Prizes for Caring Cubs". All of the students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade have loved spending their Rutherford Raves to purchase multi colored fidgets, galaxy putty, fun animal erasers, and various sweet and savory snacks. The students love the assortment and variety of items that are now included in our school store. The students were especially excited about the magnetic building tiles. We were able to utilize that option as a school-wide raffle. The students had the choice of placing their Raves in a raffle bin and one lucky student received this wonderful prize.
The best part is that the students have been working even harder to earn the Rutherford Raves so they can have an abundance for the school store. As I stated in my original proposal, the children earn Raves for following our Rutherford Rules: Be respectful, Be responsible, Be prepared, and Be safe. Since the students have become so motivated by the prizes in the school store, they have set goals to demonstrate the best behaviors. The overall school community has been positive and respectful. I hope to develop another Donors Choose project that will add even more resources into the school store.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Cintron

Funded Sep 13, 2024Thank you for your generous donations for the "Caring Cubs Love School Store". All of the students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade have loved spending their Rutherford Raves to purchase glitter putty, Air Heads, Ring Pops, pencils, slap bracelets, and many other wonderful prizes. The students love the assortment and variety of items that are now included in our school store. I have overhead the students sharing their excitement over the prizes and showing other students what they earned with their Raves. When it is the grade level's day to shop, the students tell one another about the prizes and then actively search and choose the excellent rewards that were purchased using your charitable donations.
