Dear donors, thank you for taking part of your time to help us in our classroom! Several studies have proven that learning through interactive gadgets make it more engaging, enhances the acquisition of knowledge and language and help kids get prepared for life. Some of the ways in which we will use these devices are: - Using self-adapting district software to practice their reading comprehension and math. - Practice English acquisition through interactive programs . - Reading eBooks. - Performing research online (extremely important that they learn how to do it properly!). - Creating Power Point and Word documents. -Student collaboration (google docs). - Active learning exercises and polls. This past school year we had 3 computers. We managed to take turns in groups of 4, but it was very challenging. Not all the students work at the same pace. In addition, some of my students had not used an electronic device before, which made it more difficult. Having tablets in our classroom would allow my students to perform all the activities that I previously mentioned. Some could be doing a portion of the research, while others could be creating a presentation in power point or writing a word document. I used to work as an engineer, and I understand how important it is that our children are able to use with ease technological equipment! Please, help them grow, help them learn!! Let's enhance their opportunities to succeed! Thank you!
