Thank you so very much for your kind and generous donation! I truly appreciate your support for this project! My students and I truly appreciate you!

They are already so excited to know that our project was funded! They will truly enjoy reading these books and meeting their AR goals thanks to you!”

  • Imagine, Create, Print!

    Funded Sep 27, 2022

Thank you so very much for allowing my students to receive this wonderful printer for the classroom!

Thank you for having this project funded! My students are using it to have their reading AR reports printed each time they read and test on a Sunshine State Book before attending the book club. They are also having their poems printed and displayed in the classroom. Students are also able to see their excellent essays printed with colorful pictures.

Thank you again for making this project a reality for my students.”

  • Books and Books

    Funded Mar 5, 2020

Thank you so very much for funding the project "Books and Books". We truly appreciate it. The One and Only Ivan is a novel which was recommended by the Gifted department for third grade students. Coincidentally, I had been reading it to my students in the past but wanted to have at least enough to share between every two students.

Now I will have enough books to have my students read aloud or follow along when we get back to school. Due to Distance Learning and COVID19 we are unable to read it at this time. But as soon as we get back we will definitely read this book! :)

Thank you again for your kind donation!”

  • Ink, Binder and Headphones

    Funded Feb 12, 2020

Thank you so very much for the ink which allows us to print documents and photographs in color. This allows students to see pictures and documents more vividly for presentations. I am also able to show students visuals by printing documents in color to grasp their attention when teaching.

Also thank you for the binder. This binder is used to organize documents used in class such as reading tests and answer keys. This allows us to be more organized when finding assessments for the students. Thank you for helping us be more organized in our reading assessments.

The headphones are greatly needed since they frequently break and need to be replaced. These are especially helpful for those students that have not brought in headphones from home or have broken since the beginning of the school year. These are needed for students to complete their i-Ready reading and math lessons as well as diagnostic tests.”

  • iPad Mini for Inquisitive Minds!

    Funded Oct 23, 2019

Thank you so very much for your generous donation to our classroom. The iPad Mini is of great use for our classroom. Not only can it used for completing Reflex lessons in class but also for learning and reinforcing concepts learned through Kahoot.

The large visible timer is an essential tool in class. Many times my students need to actually see what 10 more minutes means. My students are able to manage their time better by glancing at the clock which we placed on the front wall. This clock is assisting my students with time management.

My 29 students are able to use the bookshelf to place their lunchboxes neatly. This bookshelf allows them to locate their lunchboxes easily and efficiently. My students know exactly where to place their lunchboxes so they can easily access them when going to lunch or dismissal. Our last bookshelf did not have enough space and was falling apart so this new one is greatly appreciated.

The document camera is amazing! My students are able to see whatever I place under the document camera clearly. We also use it to reinforce writing by showing examples and discussing how to improve their writing. We also do this with reading comprehension skills and science. Thank you again!”

  • Robots, Games and More!

    Funded Feb 5, 2019

My students are thrilled to have received the new resources! During recess they enjoy playing with the outdoor toys including the balls and Frisbees. I assign a student to be in charge of the items and they are enjoying playing on teams. My students have also created mazes and they are enjoying driving the Sphero robot on the maze. They are also learning how to code the robot to move across the maze. My students are also enjoying playing with the other resources such as the new card game which is very engaging. The Blurt game is a great addition to our classroom because it is entertaining, exciting and teaches new vocabulary. The kids are learning while having fun. When my students first saw the materials, they were super excited. They couldn't wait to open up the boxes and use the resources. The magnet building resources is allowing them to be creative while learning. We will soon be starting our chapter on geometry and this resource will reinforce the concepts about shapes, open and closed figures, sides and angles. Thank you again for donating these valuable resources for our class! :) We truly appreciate it!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gasteli

This classroom project was brought to life by Sphero and 3 other donors.
  • Coding with Sphero+ STEAM Robot!

    Funded Oct 24, 2018

Thank you so very much for your kind and generous donation to our Sphero+ STEAM Robot project. My students were so excited to receive their Sphero Robot. They have already been using it in class and in the Sphero Club in the mornings. Using a Kindle Fire, they have been able to drive the Sphero Robot and draw shapes for other students to identify. They are also learning about speed and distance while using the Sphero Robot.

Additionally, the doorbell has been so beneficial in the classroom. Visitors simply have to press the button and one of my students quickly opens the door. Our doors are now locked for safety reasons, and this doorbell has helped us continue teaching with less disruptions.

The positive message pillows have impacted my classroom in several ways. First, my students are able to glance at the positive messages at any time which leads to a more positive learning environment. Also, my students are able to read more comfortably on the rug and this improves their reading comprehension. They take turns reading on the rug so this leads to sharing.

When my students first saw the materials they were so excited! They couldn't wait to use the materials. The doorbell was the first item we used. Then the pillows and finally the Sphero which is amazing! The next steps for using the Sphero will be for my students to design a maze. Once they design a maze, they will have to drive and program the Sphero to navigate through the maze. This will be a wonderful activity!

    We truly appreciate your generosity!”

  • STEAM Supplies for All!

    Funded Oct 23, 2017

Thank you so very much for all of the donations! My Super Gators were super excited to receive the boxes with the supplies inside. The cozy blue rug and pillows were a hit! They can't wait to read on the rug during our reading and AR testing time. They know they don't all fit on the rug so they take turns. In order to take good care of their new rug they vacuum it at the end of the day. This rug has impacted my students greatly because they look forward to reading their books. In reading their books, they have a better chance of meeting their AR goals. The beautiful pillows have positive messages written on them so my students are reminded of values and have a positive mindset.

Our schools is now a STEAM school so the science and math supplies are coming in very handy! We had a project recently where the students had to create a Native American home. They then had to measure the length, width and height of the structures. They were able to use the new measuring tapes with great ease. After that, we placed the structures in the refrigerator for 2 minutes and then measured the temperatures inside the structures. There thermometers were essential in completing this task. They were very easy to read and very precise.

Finally, the STEAM car and airplane sets will be used in the coming weeks by the students. They have already researched and designed paper airplanes, so they are excited to assemble the new cars and airplanes. All of these activities would not be possible without your kind and generous donations. Thank you for making our classroom thrive with activities that promote lifelong learners.”

  • Can You Hear Me?

    Funded Mar 4, 2017

Thank you so very much for your kind and generous donations for my class! They were all thrilled to receive the headphones, the microphone, and the portable handheld vacuum. The headphones have impacted my students in several ways. First, they are beneficial to students that don't have headphones of their own. These headphones are lightweight and easy to use. They also come in a pouch which is great because the students know exactly where to store them. The microphone is a hit! Some of my students have soft voices so this microphone is excellent for presentations. When used, my students are able to hear the presenter easily. Additionally, the student using the microphone also feels happy that their voices are heard. This in turn builds their self-esteem. Since the voice is projected easily, the student can use intonation appropriately when speaking. My students like the way the voice is projected with the microphone. The portable vacuum is also wonderful! My students are excited about using it to clean the rug and the floor. This vacuum is lightweight, quiet and easy to use. It comes with a stand to charge it when not in use. This maximizes student focus and minimizes disruptions. It is easy to clean too! Thank you all for donating these valuable items to my students! :)”

  • Technology for Today!

    Funded Oct 17, 2016

Thank you so very much for supporting our project "Technology for Today". With the additional laptop computer my students were able to finish taking the i-Ready diagnostic test in only four days. The computer was easily accessed through the school's WIFI and my students were able to work on it immediately. This additional laptop is also a great way for my students to take their AR tests to meet their Accelerated Reading goals for the nine weeks.

The automatic stapler has been a hit in the classroom. Each time that my students need to have their papers stapled together I am able to call them up by tables and they immediately line up. They are fascinated by the fact that the stapler is fast and easy to use. They cannot believe their eyes! With this stapler, my students no longer have to wait for me to walk around to staple their papers because they look forward to stapling the papers themselves.

The Lightning Digital AV Adapter has been a great tool to use when the WIFI is not working for any reason. During these times, I simply connect my phone to the Adapter and am able to access the Internet to use programs such as Gizmos. I am also able to show videos and pictures to enhance learning. During the month of October, I needed to show my students a dance I created, so I videotaped myself and then used the Adapter in class to teach them the dance. Again, my students benefit greatly with this additional tool.

The ink toners have been a lifesaver! I have been able to print documents to be used in class with the students or sent home to parents. Without the ink toners, I would not have been able to print many of the documents that I use in class such as charts, graphic organizers and pictures. I am even able to print an additional copy when needed for the students.

With the use of the speaker, my students are able to listen to stories when the sound bar is not working. All I have to do is get an auxiliary cable and connect it to the computer. We will soon begin reading our novel "The Candymakers" and this speaker will be used to listen to some of the chapters in class.

My students and I truly appreciate your generous support of this project! Every time that we use any of the items, we know that it is because of you that these items are in our classroom today! Thank you all!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gasteli

My students are MY superstars! I look forward to coming to school each day to teach them! :) They love technology and working on computers, however we do not have enough technology at our school. There are so many programs that need to be worked on for reading and math, that a laptop would be an incredible donation for our classroom. Since it's a gifted self-contained class, my students are very inquisitive and curious. With an laptop they could research and complete activities in groups. They could create projects and present them to the class. I call them my superstars because I teach them to be positive, to believe in themselves and trust that nothing is impossible if you believe. With your generous and thoughtful donation, my students will see that beautiful and wonderful things happen when you believe!
