  • More Time for Learning = Seat Sacks for Chairs

    Funded Dec 5, 2019

Thank you so much for helping our class. Time is so precious in the classroom. There is never enough of it. Saving time for my students to be able to do more things like reading, writing, thinking, or talking is huge. Now that the students each have a seat sack on the backs of their chairs, they are able to store supplies and folders in it, instead of needing to visit their cubbies so often throughout the day. The students' faces lit up when they saw their new seat sacks on the back of their chairs. They were very excited to fill it with all their books and things right away!

Thank you for making this possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Dorn

  • Our Kids Deserve Better Learning Environments With Flexible Seating!

    Funded Oct 4, 2019

When the boxes arrived for our flexible seating donors choose project, the students were super excited! They couldn't wait to use the different seating options around the classroom!

After I put everything together and put it out, it made learning more fun! The students couldn't wait for their turn to use the special seats! They work harder to be able to have the privilege of sitting in the flex seating, and then they focus more when they use them!

Thank you so much for making our classroom learning environment more fun and exciting! Your donation is so appreciated!”

    Ms. Dorn

  • Power Hour: Let Your Genius Out!

    Funded Mar 6, 2019

Thank you so very much for helping to fund our project! Having these games and supplies have allowed us to create a time each week to get together and enjoy school! Learning really can be fun! As soon as our project was funded, the students began coming in early every Friday morning to have time to build classroom community and have fun with art and games! It really was a special to for the students to be able to grow stronger peer relationships and have time to be able to just have fun, while also learning to problem solve and be a team player! I cannot thank you enough that you were able to help make this project possible for my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Dorn

My fourth grade students work so hard every single day, I want to give them time to be able to "let their genius out"! I would like to open my classroom early on Friday mornings, before the bell rings, and allow students to have intentional game time. The purpose is to dive into some hands-on activities and also do some art (which we never have time for!). Not to mention, it will build positive relationships with each other. This "Power Hour" will allow students to choose which activity they want to participate in, whether it is in strategy games, building with Legos or other engineering games, and art stations (painting and drawing). The materials and supplies I requested are games and art supplies to fulfill this wish for the students in my classroom. They deserve some time to have some fun at school. (Just don't tell them all the life skills they will be learning while they do it!)
