Students love to be creative and use their hands. Our Maker Space will provide materials for creative fun activities such as Book Art, Knitting, and Repurposing Clothing. We place an emphasis on repurposing materials, enriching our environment through creative reuse. We work with student, parent, and staff leaders who excite and encourage their peers to try new skills. Projects and materials require organized storage. The storage bins are sized to fit shelves in our Makerspace area. Clear bins allow us to see what is inside. The sharpies help us to label bins and materials. The flat edge scissors are good for cutting fabric and large sheets of paper such as patterns. The post its and file cards are useful for labeling and organizing individual projects. Disinfecting wipes will help us keep our area clean after lunch and between projects. We have a good community source for free yarns, knitting needles, fabric remnants and old used books for our projects.
