My students use a variety of online methods to complete language arts, math, science and social studies assignments. Many of these students have a learning disability in reading and or math. Technology has allowed my students the ability to have their assignments read aloud to them to help reading comprehension. My school also uses online assessment tools for growth monitoring and these online assessments require the use of headphones. My students, specifically those with comprehension difficulties, really benefit from the read aloud options on the various assignments and assessments. However, numerous students lack access to headphones and having a class set of headphones available in the classroom will be extremely beneficial to my students.
