As a part of our school's Advocacy program, all middle school students participate in DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time to help improve students' literacy skills. We read together as a class the first two Harry Potter books. However, our school library doesn't have a class set of the third book. I would use this set of books for students to read in class. On a recent survey of the class, a majority of students indicated that they wanted to continue to read the Harry Potter series if we had a class set. Once finished reading, I could offer the set to other classes at our school to read.
