  • Classroom Library!

    Funded Feb 25, 2025

Thank you so much for your donation to my class. The Math Book Shelf will be a tool used everyday for struggling readers in the math classroom from special education students to English as Second Language Learners. These books you help fund for this project will help students understand more about basic math concepts.

    Thanks a million!”

Thank you so much for funding out healthy snacks project. It is nice that we have healthy breakfast bars for those students that come to school with not having eaten breakfast. This current school year was the first year since COVID where they the school did not have the grant in place in order for all students to receive free breakfast and lunch, regardless of their seriocomic status. So many of our students relied on those meals each day.

On top of the healthy breakfast our students now have an incentive to come to class and win a bag of chips or something from the break box if they excel in class participation, do well on an exam or are a stand-up respectful scholar.

My students and I are extremely grateful. Thanks a million!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nelson

  • Less Screen Time

    Funded Dec 29, 2024

Thank you so much for your donation to my class. The Less Screen Time project will be a tool used everyday for struggling readers in the math classroom. Having students find engaging activities without having their eyes glued to screens is very difficult anymore. Teachers Pay Teachers will have many tangible interactive activities for them to work on - screen free!

  • Current Life Skills and Social Emotional Learning Resource for Teens!

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for the generous donation of Scholastic magazines for my high school class. The articles on mental health and stress management are such valuable resources for my students, providing them with the tools to navigate challenges they face both academically and personally. As educators, we constantly strive to support our students' well-being, and these magazines offer engaging, age-appropriate material that makes important topics accessible and relatable.

Having these resources in the classroom will undoubtedly foster important conversations about mental health, helping students recognize the importance of self-care and managing stress in a healthy way. Your thoughtful contribution goes beyond just academic enrichment—it's helping to create a supportive environment where students can thrive emotionally and mentally. Thank you once again for making a difference in their lives!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nelson

  • Mental Health & Art Therapy!

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you for funding my project Mental Health Art Therapy! We have already put the food and break box treats to good use by implementing a behavior management token reward system. Students must exhibit students expectations of getting to class on time, completing classwork and homework and coming to class with all of their materials. The EXPO markers have been put to use by small group instruction for after school help. The Clorox wipes have been a true blessing especially now in cold and flu season. Thank you so much for helping my students be motivated to come to class and have necessities they need to be successful and healthy!”

  • Less Screen Time!

    Funded Aug 17, 2024

Technology in my school is used to enrich the learning experience for the students. It is not the sole teaching aspect but it used to reinforce learning. All students have a one-to-one Chromebook and there is an IT student help desk if a computer arises during the school day.

Students have a learning platform, Canvas, where teachers post their assignments daily, in case students forget something at school and it needs to be completed for homework. The teachers pay teachers gift card allowed me to explore fun, engaging, and grade level appropriate projects and interactive activities. The one activity my students really enjoyed was the "Escape Room". My students had to engage in a breakout escape room to test their skills with absolute value inequalities.

Many of the resources on teachers pay teachers are very creative and made by teachers so they are well aware of the student misconceptions that arise in learning most all math concepts. Thank you so much for funding this project!”

  • Teacher and Students Need A Comfy Chair!

    Funded Apr 18, 2024

Thank you so much providing me with a a comfy teach chair for instruction. This project helped me when working in small groups at the kidney table while sitting for short periods of time. The chair will be used as a reward when the students want to be the teacher for the day. CI am happy to replace my old chair with this beautiful new one. The students liked being the teacher last year when they could roll around and borrow it when they were rewarded for good behavior. This chair was needed for mobility and engagement with my students and small groups and student-led conferences and parent conferences in my comfortable chair that will provide me the proper back support needed. The teacher's chair is a great reward for students of the week. Thank you so much for donating!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nelson
