Starting in November, my class of 5th graders will be split between online and in person learners.
My goal is to make sure all of my students feel equally included no matter where they are learning from. The technology needed to make this happen is a wireless projector to show my students on the wall in my classroom (and the necessary cords), a remote clicker so I can navigate my lesson from anywhere in my room, and some light covers to make that part of my room dark enough to see the projector. I think having the students on something larger than a computer screen will bring a sense of inclusion and normalcy to my class.
This is a whole new world of teaching due to COVID-19, but I really think this addition to my classroom will make a world of difference.
