Brain's Work Out
Funded Sep 6, 2023On behalf of myself and my young learners we want to thank you for making such a significant difference in our learning. With your generosity my students learned their alphabet letters using fun hands-on games. The ice cream cones were the perfect size for their little hands and allowed them to strengthen their fine motor skills. Using the alphabetic key locks supported my little learners hand eye coordination. All of which may seem small accomplishments but are detrimental skills to prepare for rigorous work in their academic years to come. Holding pencils, writing, cutting, and tracing are just a few of these skills.
My students practiced counting, cardinality, and shape differentiation with the use of the puzzles. Having the variety of choices from traditional puzzles to manipulative block puzzles kept their interest in learning math. My students used academic vocabulary when problem solving and most importantly they did so while using collaborative actions. Not only did my students learn academic subjects but they also practice team work, communication, and other social skills. The number and shape puzzles along with the fort building set provides them the opportunity to practice all these fundamental skills. We appreciate your support to our class and I thank you for the support you provide to teachers like myself.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Bernal
