Students are already anxious starting a new school year. But with the added safety protocols, their anxiety may be heightened. The books I've chosen will support younger students who may understand more with the help of books. Teachers are also limited to what calming tools we are allowed to provide students (only ones that can be easily disinfected or each student has their own). That is why I would like a new set of play-doh for individual use and easy to clean stress balls. Finally, for the older students, I would like journals and age appropriate coloring books to support their coping skills.
