Elementary students will use Sphero robots to put coding into practice. When we use the robots, they will either use an iPad or Chromebook to program the robots to navigate around the classroom.
Besides refining coding and STEM skills, students will be able to bring learning elements to life. An example would be students can move the robot to different areas when retelling a story. The robots can also be used in math and science to compare time, speed, and distance. In social studies, students will design a "costume" for the robot to bring their topics to life.
3Doodler pens will allow students to create models of what they are studying. Plants and insects would not be a flat picture. Students can physically touch to understand. They will be more engaged when they can design their own bug or create something that will solve a problem.
