Calming corners in classrooms have been shown to help with emotional regulation, which helps students to be able to focus and learn better in their classrooms. Our school has many students who have experienced trauma. Trauma effects the brain and the ability for students to focus and learn. If we can create safe spaces in our classrooms when can combat the affects of trauma which will help our students do better academically. These materials will allow us to have a safe inviting space with calming activities to help our students regulate their emotions throughout the school day. Please help provide a safe space for our students!
