    I am filled with gratitude and excitement for my students! I cannot wait to get these cameras in the hands of students and to teach and guide them to experiment in the field.

    Tools for documentary photography are so important across disciplines. But even more important is the confidence in their own investigative skills, hypothesis creating, and follow through observations. These are skills that will serve them as lifelong learners.

  • Clean Air, Clean Tables!

    Thank you so much for helping fund this project for our classroom! It's a huge relief to know that soon we'll have classroom air filters to improve our indoor air quality, and cleaning supplies to keep our work tables clean.

    Other materials are helping to organize a classroom visuals library for students to reference in their art making, and contributing to our peace corner.

    All of these will add to our classroom's health, creativity, and sense of community!”

Students need clean air and a clean learning environment. Our school's zip code has some of the worst air quality index ratings in the city. Add on the recent wildfire smoke and we really need these air purifiers to ensure healthy, breathable air in our large classroom. I have had students request to go to the nurse for their asthma inhaler every week this school year since before the wildfires and smoke started. Lastly, a few basics such as spray cleaner, disinfecting wipes, and Kleenex boxes reduce the spread of germs. Page protectors and file folders organize class handouts. Small sand timers will add to our peace corner.
