Write and Create With Art.
Funded Feb 8, 2023Our students here have enjoyed the materials we were able to get through this project. They have used the Dry erase boards and markers to learn about shapes and various skills in the art room. They were very excited to see new materials in the art room and to start a lesson in a different way from the typical drawing on paper method of art.
Students often when finished with projects will get out the boards to play math games or art games with one another. This would not be possible with out the donations and support from this project. Thank you.”

This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 4 other donors.Write It, Create It, Learn It!
Funded Jan 27, 2022The students first lesson with the boards was all about different shapes in the world around them. We read a book all about shapes and created pictures on our boards of objects from the world around us on our dry erase boards. The students had so much fun thinking about how these shapes they have learned about make up everything around them. They were very excited to draw and write on the boards in art class. We even had a challenge to see who could write their whole alphabet correctly first. The students got really into it and did a great job. Thanks so much for donating to these kids education to make it more engaging and exciting.”

Forget The Germs and Let’s Learn!
Funded Aug 30, 2021Students used the resource to play a large matching game with the letters and the carpet. This larger than usual way of learning was a fun way for students to engage with the letters of the alphabet and make new connections.
The students were so excited when they first saw the materials and were jumping for joy to put them to use. The students now are creating water color resist paintings of winter hats. We are talking about how oil and water do not mix and how it can create really cool effects with paint. We also are making connection about different types of lines and patterns as we create our water color resist paintings.
We are truly thankful for donors that help our creative lessons come to life, it really does make such a difference in students being able to do projects that we might never have the opportunity to complete.”

Virtual Success!
Funded Mar 29, 2021Thank you so much for your support of providing me with a second screen for virtual teaching. It was very useful for seeing all of my students and my visuals at the same time. Two screens made managing virtual learning much more doable. The students could tell a difference because I was able to see when they were raising their hands and connect with the students at a higher level. I also used the TPT gift card to create an virtual art show to exhibit the students art in a professional way. Student were thrilled to see their virtual art exhibited in a virtual manner that made their art really shine.”

Cooler with Color!
Funded Jan 1, 2021The resources from this project add tons of color to my art room supplies and will make distribution so much easier and more Covid friendly with color coordination of supplies.
Though students have not returned to my art room yet, once they do I believe the bright vibrant colors of the rainbow will inspire them as they create. My students now are creating virtually and are making great use of their own materials at home, I can't wait to have them back to let them see the transformation the colorful storage makes. Thank you for making this possible. Your support of education means so much to me and my students.”
