I will use all of the materials in various ways. Starting with the iPad, I do not have a computer in my room and only was given a "teacher" iPad for myself; I use it as the classroom iPad. One of my students uses the iPad as a reward, and when she earns the iPad, she expects it instantly (when another student is using it for a math or reading activity, it is an ordeal at times). The iPad will be used in my classroom as a tool to improve my students' reading, writing, and math, along with a reward for them to play educational games and puzzles. The puzzles will add to my classroom's small collection of puzzles and allow them to have more choices when they have indoor recess or free choice time. Teaching my students to make choices is crucial because getting them to use their words of what they want is very difficult for them. The final two projects would be for continuing to develop my students' fine motor skills. Students with Autism almost always have a deficit with their fine motor skills, and because of the difficulty with this skill, it becomes a disliked activity. Each day, I focus on improving those skills through various tasks while I making it preferred for them to do, which is exactly what the Scoop Bug and Color Maze will allow me to do. Thank you for everything!
