When I think of the perfect library I don't imagine a room with only a large selection of books. I think of a place filled with cozy, personal space that allows the reader to escape in a comfortable and safe environment, where they can get lost in a book, and nurture a passion for reading. Due to the pandemic and mandated closures our student lost the ability to experience what a library has to offer. Adding comfortable seating like bean bags and floor pillows will allow them to experience a pre Covid Library. The addition of wall decals and decorations will allow their imaginations to transport them without leaving the room. My hope is to create a space that leaves our students wanting time for just one more chapter.
