Funding this project will allow students to have bows that are in good enough repair for them to get the sound they are working for and play without hurting themselves. The beautiful tone that comes from a string instrument comes largely from a bow that is in good working order and has been made well. My students have been using old bows that haven't had regular upkeep for many years. It is hard to create a beautiful sounds and can be easy to get wrist and arm injuries when playing with bows in disrepair. These new bows will allow my students to truly excel and not be held back by inferior supplies!
