My students come from impoverished countries where the education they were able to receive was limited to marble notebooks and a chalkboard in a overpopulated classroom. When they come into my classroom they gloat with excitement when I present them with a video or a political cartoon and that really touches my heart. It has inspired me to try and obtain more technology for them in the classroom so they can see that the quality of their education will have no bounds. Students will be able to take control of their own learning by doing research projects and realizing that there is an unlimited amount of information in this world. I can almost cry thinking about the looks these kids will have on their faces when I present them with laptops they can use to complete classwork.
