Falling in Love ❤️... with Reading!

Thank you and thank you again! A love of reading does not happen easily when you have no books to call your own. Your support gives all students in grades kindergarten-3rd grade, access to books at my school what they need. In the past, it was difficult for me to understand how books cannot be readily available for all children to read. While working at my school for the past 4 years, I have heard many of our children say they have no books at home. My goal is to provide opportunities for every child to check out leveled readers, then another, and another. My motivation is to increase their love of books. Thank you for giving and helping me reach my goal.”

By donating to my project, you will not only be putting books in the hands of young readers, you will be helping to instill a love of reading for a lifetime! It is so important to get quality books into the hands of young readers! I am committed to helping literacy improve and in addition keep the love of learning/reading ALIVE! The books that I have chosen are going to be used in grades Kdg.-3rd grade and will also be allowed to go home with children to read in the evenings and on the weekends! Thank you for your Help! Literacy in the primary grades is crucial to the success that students will encounter with their future learning. Establishing a secure foundation of reading skills & strategies, as well as developing a genuine love for reading is one of the most important tasks that educators must master. I am asking for support to obtain leveled readers for our students to access during our reading and intervention times, in order to practice strategies, as well as to develop fluency and expression while reading. It is so important to provide books that interest children, and the best way to increase reading ability is to read more. My students already have shown an interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences!
