Book Organization and Place Value Helpers
Funded May 9, 2023Thank you for the donation of art supplies and book/storage bins for my classroom.
As an AVID school, we are working hard to teach the kids about the importance of organization in school and their lives. The book bins have been organized and labeled by level so that the students can choose "just right" books at their level. This makes the process of finding books more streamlined and a quicker process in class.
The art supplies (scented markers and stamper markers) have been a great addition to our Fun Friday centers and our academic centers. The students have enjoyed adding scents to their art projects and using the stamps during math to fill out their ten frames when adding.
My students will continue to utilize these resources years to come and I look forward to utilizing them in my classroom.”

Funded Oct 11, 2022Thank you so much for all of the materials for my classroom! My students were so excited to receive the items and were even more excited to use them and try them out. My students have been excited to use all of the new art supplies during their free time and when we get to art in class.
During our 100th day of school celebration, the kids used the stamper markers to make 100 things on their 100th day smarter hats. I saw the joy and excitement in their eyes as they used them to decorate and count out 100 stamps.
During the holidays, we were able to make the calendars and use the smelly markers to fill out the calendar with days and drawings for each month. I was surprised at how excited the kids were to use the smelly markers and smell their calendars. I have students who come up to me and tell me their calendar still smells good.
I plan to continue using the stamper markers and letter stamps during small groups and center time in order to strengthen their current skills and learn new skills. My kids who struggle with letter names and sounds are benefitting from the using the stamps during our MTSS time.
I am truly appreciative of all the new supplies and look forward to using them the rest of the year!”

Funded Jan 3, 2022Thank you so much for donating to our classroom. The students were so excited to receive the new balls, jump ropes, and hula hoops to use during PE. The students have been able to play games with one another and enjoy time with the equipment.
Not only have my students been able to enjoy the equipment, but the other second grade classes have been enjoying it as well. It is so nice to have all three classes playing together and sharing the equipment.
My students are excited and eager to learn new games using the new balls, jump ropes, and hula hoops. I cannot wait to give them the opportunity to play and learn new games.”

Funded Oct 23, 2020I want to send my deepest gratitude and thanks for helping fund my class project. I know first hand how looking at the computer screen can cause headaches and fatigue, so I wanted to protect my students health and well-being during distance learning.
The students loved their blue-light glasses (and they looked so cute in them). They liked being "twins" with me and enjoyed learning about why they are important and what they are for. My students enjoyed the gift that I had prepared for them.
The next steps is to continue utilizing the dry-erase number boards for them to use throughout distance learning and achieve their first grade learning goals. I look forward to using them and working with them.”

Funded May 7, 2020Thank you so much for donating to my class. I was beyond words and filled with gratitude for all of your generosity! The students loved receiving the headphones and were/are excited to use them as we continue with distance learning. They were so excited to receive a special end of the year treat from Ms. Mason. Each of the books was personalized for each student and they were so thankful.
Most of my students come from low-income, working families and some of their parents had hours reduced or cut due to COVID. So it was nice to bring joy to their faces and see them genuinely happy!
I am so excited that all of my kids get to enjoy their headphones during second grade and they can always read the note from me in their book when they want to know how special they are to me. Thank you for all of the generosity during this trying time.”

Funded Dec 12, 2019Thank you for your kind and generous donation to my first grade classroom. The headphones that were purchased have helped my students learn responsibility and how to take care of their supplies. Each student is responsible for putting away their headphones in their numbered box daily and they are held accountable for ensuring they are in working condition.
The headphones allow my students to complete online assessments on their laptops and complete their ELA and Math lessons on the computer. The headphones give each student equitable access to the online components of our curriculum as well as accessing our district assessments.
The students were extremely excited to get headphones that fit their head and were new. They enjoyed opening the box and being the first students to use them. They become "theirs." I have noticed they take care of them and make sure they are put where they go after using them.
With the new headphones, I find that all students are more eager and excited to use technology and want to explore new ways to use our laptops. The headphones have been an asset to our classroom and we will continue to enjoy them!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Mason
