Having an iPad for my students to use during interactive learning centers will make a positive impact on the learning of my students. Right now I’m our classroom we have six desktop computers. Sort of. We have one that has no sound (boy is that fun), one is so old it will not run our learning applications and one that crashed completely. So I guess I should say we have 3 working computers for six students to use during center time. We live in a technology centered world. Currently, our classroom is struggling with functioning technology. Many of my students have never saw a desktop computer and they definitely have no clue what to do with the mouse. Most of my student s are intimidated by the desktop because they are unfamiliar and they do not know how to use them. This creates an unneeded stress for many of them. I can guarantee they know how to use an iPad though. Having an iPad available for my students to use would allow them to complete interactive learning experiences on their level, at their pace, without any added stresses. If we had an iPad available for each student to use during their technology center, learning would increase. I know that I am asking for a substantial donation but I truly believe that if we had six iPads available for centers then learning would increase in our classroom. Please consider helping us make our dream a reality. Thank you for you consideration.
