I am a Portuguese 1st grade teacher. In my class, besides teaching this new language for the kids, I am in charge of teaching the most part of the Math curriculum. I have selected some support visual and hands-on materials to help in this process. All of these visual and hands-on materials will help students understand better the Math concepts and the language at the same time. The giant place value blocks are amazing! They facilitate the understanding of this concept so much. The giant dice, the magnetic and bright numbers, cubes, lapboards, they really will make a difference in my class.
