Hoop Dreams 2.0

I am super excited that Hoop Dreams 2.0 has been fully funded. The support of the DonorsChoose community will play a key role in the success of my basketball program. I will now have the proper equipment so that I can develop the fundamental skills necessary to successfully compete in an organized, regulated game. Many urban city children dream of themselves playing basketball in the NBA or the WNBA. A basketball is usually placed in their hands at a young age. Although fundamentals are very important coaches don't devote practice time to actually developing fundamentals skills. Some children's true talents are been hidden because they have not mastered these skills. It is my hope to be able to work with players that have a desire to strengthen their fundamental basketball skills so they a ready to compete in organized, regulated game. The basketball hoop will allow us to practice the skills in a game-like situation.
