  • Learning Is Greater When We're Equipped With Supplies and Comfort

    Funded Sep 12, 2024

Happy New Year to all! Words cannot begin to express how much your support has impacted my students. The children have already used up all 500 pencils that was part of your contribution which we greatly appreciate. They truly do go through supplies in an unimaginable pace. The seating areas have been a comfort for the kids as they focus on their novels on their cozy chairs in the reading area. The colorful caddies have filled and brightened our room in a beautiful way, not to mention how organized their supplies have been maintained.

Needless to say, all of the supplies that you all have helped contribute to my classroom and my students have been a blessing and an important factor on our ability to perform in our classroom. We are truly appreciative.

Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. We wish you a very blessed, healthy and Happy New Year! Be well.”

    With gratitude,

  • A Splash of Color Makes Anything Pop With Beauty!

    Funded Apr 29, 2024

Your donations have helped my students freely create beautiful creations of origami and pixelated art. They have also had an opportunity to create double helix DNA. Students loved to express themselves using all of the supplies that you so generously donated.

The supply of vibrant colors, the exploration of finding new ways of combining colors, and enjoying a moment of peace, focus and a sense of accomplishment upon designing their vision through art. You all have made my students very happy. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your donations. You are greatly appreciated. Thank you again!

    Many Blessings,”

    With gratitude,

Ms. J. Lopez (Dual Language Teacher)

  • Feed our Minds by Filling our Bellies!

    Funded Mar 25, 2024

Your donations have helped my students maintain their energy during our after school programs, thanks to all of your generosity. They are always happy to have something to fill their bellies with at the end of the school day. Having options have allowed the students to have choice and try new things.

Thank you! We are truly grateful. My students always inquire about how I am able to treat them to such delicious goodies. I always tell them that there are many kind people out in the world that are genuine and thoughtful. They happened to have been blessed by the ones who have contributed to our project, so thank you. We thank you. Many Blessings to you all.”

  • A Satisfied Tummy= Appreciative Students

    Funded Feb 2, 2024

My students have been so blessed to have you all contribute to their after school snacks. On school days, my students' lunch hour fluctuates throughout the week. There will be days when they would eat early, and other times later, this causes the children to have hunger pangs. The snack have really come in handy during school hours and after school. These past weeks the kids have truly been working hard and dealing with a lot of testing, so from all of them and me to all of our donors.... Thank you all so very much! May your compassion and contributions be returned to you all in the most positive ways x 100.”

  • Accessories Needed for iPad

    Funded Jan 18, 2021

My students and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity. Your donations helped protect the iPad that you Donors also helped fund for us as well. The protective accessories for the ipad, helped to be utilized as a computer because of the the keyboard attachment.

The use of the Ipad and its protective case allows me to circulate the room freely while assessing my students.

Thank you all once again. Stay safe, stay healthy!

    Kind Regards,

    The IS77 Family of Learners”

  • Oooh! I Wonder What the iPad Experience Feels Like!

    Funded Jan 16, 2021

First and foremost, words cannot begin to describe how very thankful my students and I are for your generosity, compassion and kindness. Most of my students are English Language Learners that are faced with multiple obstacles upon arriving to this country and new school. Most of these children have never opened up a laptop till they got to this country, much less know how to utilize one. Until now! Upon walking into our blended classroom in September of 2021, each child has learned something new about technology. Whether it's learning how to join a class through google meet, create a document through google docs, creatively produce powerpoint presentations or how to share and submit documents/assignments via email or google classroom.... learning is taking place on multiple levels.

Although they are still learning how to navigate and master how to use laptops, and tablets, they are definitely on their way. Moreso now that technology continues to advance and produce new and better ways to reach our students. Through the use of the IPad that you all have so generously contributed to the purchase of, I am able to circulate the classroom while having them engaged in Nearpod and Peardeck interactive activities. The handling of a tablet over a laptop while circulating a classroom is far more comfortable and manageable. I can have all devices on (Promethean Board, laptop and iPad) while interactively working with the students and keeping them engaged.

We the students at IS77 and myself, Ms. Lopez, would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your selfless acts of kindness. Your genuine concern and hope for a more fulfilling future full of new experiences has not gone unnoticed. Your generosity serves as a reminder that even through the most difficult circumstances, humble and caring people do exist. Thank you!!! A million times, we thank you!!! Be Safe, Be Well, Be Blessed!”

    With gratitude,

Ms. J. Lopez (Dual Language Teacher)

  • Active Engagement Through Nearpod

    Funded Feb 4, 2021

Myself and my students here at IS77 will be forever grateful for your generosity. Your donations towards our Nearpod program has been a blessing. Most of my students are English Language Learners that face multiple obstacles upon arriving to this country and in addition to their distress, the pandemic became another obstacle to overcome in the most fearful and isolated manner. Technology was yet another challenge, but Nearpod has been an amazing asset to our classroom because of how engaging and interactive it is. The lessons become more than just interactive lessons, the children enjoy the active board because they can share their thoughts and opinions. Nearpod implements so many enjoyable add ons that the learning gets better and better. We thank you for contributing to our growth!

Thank you!! Be Safe, Be Well, Be Blessed!”

    With gratitude,

Ms. J. Lopez (Dual Language Teacher)

Our school is a Title I school with many living at the poverty level. In order for our students to be truly successful and college ready, adaptations to this ever evolving technological world must be imbedded in our lessons The implementation if the iPad will help unravel yet another form of interactive student engagement. Even though there are so many different cultures, our students find communication through technology, especially convenient, useful and beneficial to them when language barriers attempt to hinder their ability to move forward with activities, assignments and social interaction. We are fortunate enough to have a 6th grade STEM cohort this school year to raise levels of creativity, and scientific and mathematical thinking. These are the job skills that are in high demand. Most of the students in our class are Hispanic newcomers, with a few Middle Eastern and Eastern European students. With so many different cultures and languages in the classroom, we feel a sense of unity when the students get a chance to engage with technology. The iPad will help develop not only the skills needed in order to prepare our children for the modern world that we live in today, but engage in interactive activities with fluidity and understanding.
