  • More Interactive Learning

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity! Your donations are so greatly appreciated!

Within this project, there was a laptop to use for more interactive learning and so far the students have LOVED it! With this project, they are now able to come up and interact more with the smart as far as touching it to move objects around and it has really helped with letter and number identification. They have really been able to show me what they know and it has been so beneficial. We look forward to continuing to use the laptop and smartboard for more lessons to come and to continue to reach our goals!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jenks

  • Playing Indoors Part 2

    Funded Dec 28, 2024

Thank you so much for your gracious donation! My students were so excited to get the scooters and helmets and test them out. Their faces lit up when we brought them down to the gym and it made their gym time so much more enjoyable for them! Students are able to practice taking turns as well as learning about safety using these items and it has made our gym time much more educational. Students have also been able to practice using their voices when asking their friends if they can have a turn. It has been an all around great experience and we are so thankful!”

  • End of the Year Celebration

    Funded Apr 17, 2024

We are so appreciative of your donations! These items were passed out at our end of the year celebration for students to learn with over the summer. Students were so excited to receive these items and had huge smiles on their faces. Parents were so excited and appreciative as well! These items will help our students continue learning and come back ready in the fall!

Many of our students do not have many resources at home to learn with, so this gift gave our students the resources that they may not have to help them get ready for kindergarten.

Many of our students are returning at this school for kindergarten, so we can not wait to hear about how their summer went and how much they have learned using these materials.

We thank you again and appreciate your generosity!”

  • Sensory Toys

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

I want to thank everyone who donated to this project! We have new students in my class who have benefited so much from the items in this project. The noise cancelling headphones have been, by far, the most beneficial thing. These have allowed my students to practice regulating their bodies and calming down enough to begin to work on IEP goals. It also has allowed them to be able to sit with the group without getting too overwhelmed. We placed the items in this project into a bin where students can utilize when they feel their bodies are getting overwhelmed during either whole group lessons or centers. They have helped so much!!

    Thank you!!”

  • End of the Year Gift

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Thank you again for your generous donations for our end of year gift! Thanks to all of you, our students went home for summer with a new backpack and learning materials for them to use over the summer months. Many of the students that were in my classroom last year are in my class again this year and their parents said how useful those materials were and how much their child worked on learning over the summer! Many of them are using the backpacks this year for school as well!

    We thank you again!”

  • Social-Emotional Learning

    Funded Jan 23, 2023

We are so appreciate of the donations that helped us get the social emotional materials for our classroom! My students were so excited to open and use these materials that we opened them as soon as they came and began learning with them. They absolutely loved the carrot and we spent time talking about why carrot was sad and how we could work through our emotions when we feel sad/mad. The calming dog was also a huge hit and the students love to go get him when they are feeling upset to help them calm down. They have been working really hard on breathing to calm down and are doing a great job! Thank you again for everything because these materials are a huge help in our classroom!”

  • Calming Down in Pre-K

    Funded Feb 17, 2022

Thank you so much for the items in this project! The weighted blanket and weighted lap mat was extremely helpful for my classroom. The lap mat allowed certain children to be able to participate in whole group lessons as well as the whole class to be able to focus and learn without distractions. The blanket also allowed certain children to be able to calm down enough so that they could nap and get the rest they needed. These items really changed the dynamic of our room and allowed more learning to take place!”

  • Printing in Color

    Funded Jan 31, 2022

Thank you for much for donating and helping us get a colored printer for the room. We have been able to use this printer to create new colorful signs for the room as well as print activities in color to make learning fun. I created colored flash cards to send home for students to learn at home as well as other materials for home. Students have had fun naming colors of animals and insects that we have been learning about as well as were able to look at pictures of apple trees and see how they change as we go through different seasons. We have also been able to print fun pictures for our letter boards where students can name things that start with each letter.

The colored printer has added excitement to our room and we are very thankful!”

  • Restocking Our Room

    Funded Jan 21, 2022

We are so appreciative of the donations to help us reach our goal!

My students have a sticker behavior system and when I showed them all of the new stickers that we were able to get, they were so excited! Everyday, we start the day by picking new stickers that they would like to earn. They spend the day trying to get as many of those stickers as they can!

The apple timer and writing claws have been a huge success for students in small group. I have one child in particular that have used the writing claws and now knows how to hold his pencil and he is so excited!!

We have also been able to have more fun in the room with the Bluetooth speaker! We use it in the gym to dance and play around as well as in the classroom for music time. The students are able to hear the music better with a louder speaker and are able to have more fun!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jenks

My students love to play hands-on just as most preschoolers. These science kits will allow students to explore independently as well as with a group. Students will be able to play and manipulate these materials to create ramps, bridges and other structure, enhancing their problem solving skills. These kits can be used as a group project to help with social skills as well. We are trying to enhance our science area with STEM activities as well as activities to spark the students interest in science topics. Binoculars, flashlights and other materials will be used to extend learning and make it more hands on and fun for students.
