  • Literacy Supports

    Funded Oct 13, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to this project. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to work with the students to support their writing skills!

Each of these materials will provide different ways to interact with words and sentences, and introduce to students a different way to understand how to read and write. Many of my students think differently and learn differently and these supports are sure to help them access the general curriculum.

Thank you so much again for your help. Your support for my classroom means so much to the students and I.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lee

  • Readers Rising!

    Funded Feb 7, 2019

Thank you so much for funding my project. The materials have followed me through the school year so I can provide differentiated instruction for all my small groups this year.

Many of my students love to interact with the board and they have grown so much from the visual representation of information.

It has even provided creative output for the students as they are able to use the board during indoor recess, and love to write on them! Both the small boards and the larger board has improved my students writing and has increased motivation to work and write on them!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lee

I provide literacy support in small groups, and we often meet in the back of a classroom. We are very lucky to have the space that we use, but it can sometimes be very difficult to share our work. The whiteboard easel would help students see their ideas written out and provide an opportunity to have visual directions and models. The personal whiteboards would allow us to try out different literacy games, to make literacy something that can be challenging and fun. Our students benefit strongly from multiple representations of literacy. Students learn through being involved with their education as much as possible, and having whiteboards and easels will help provide such opportunities, through working with letters on a new medium and through visualizing the material we are working with.
