The students will be able to go to the shelves to choose task boxes and games without assistance. It will allow them to be more independent and take responsibility for their education. They can use the boxes and games to gain team work and social skills. They would be able to pick out three items to work with when it was their turn to go to that center. The students also learn life skills while in this center. They must keep the area organized. The shelves would be stacked and the items must be put back before they leave the center. Responsible behaviors and sharing are just an example of the life skills that you will be helping to instill for these students.
