Help support Mrs. Hicks' Classroom

Debate, like most sports, builds a child's character. Our school's population is comprised from a Title I community. Our students that make our debate team whole, look forward to their opportunities on a weekly basis to grow, as well as form healthy relationships with their teammates and coaches. We want to throw them a Pizza party in Washington DC with an Awards Dinner to celebrate the students. This year, our team has taken on students who have pervasive writing challenges, and also, consider English a second language that is now ingrained within our school community. We want to reward them with this Awards Dinner, and the funding from Donors Choose can really make a difference in providing that. We have established a wonderful team at our school, and would like to reward them in a memorable way with an Awards Dinner. With the money raised, we are throwing them a dinner at Pizzeria Uno while we are in Washington DC on our trip. We say that the greatest memories of all come from those nights with your teammates and friends that you work so hard with. Rather than just giving out trophies in school, we would like to have a presentation that will last a lifetime.
