Funded Feb 28, 2019My students were thrilled to receive all the donated supplies. They were eager to begin more projects. We use dry erase markers , graph paper, and colored pencils often in my math class. It may be to review a few simple math facts, or create a week long project. The students are always excited to use these materials rather than paper pencil daily.
We were able to create a lemonade stand with the materials you donated to us. The students used their knowledge of how to find area and perimeter to create each section of the lemonade stand. They had to create the front and back panel, counter, 2 posts, and the banner. Each stduent colored and designed it with the colored pencils.
Also using their knowledge of area and perimeter they created a tiny house. They had certain pieces of furniture that was required to fit on their tiny house. The students had to design the house to make each piece fit, while designing and decorating as they wish.
With he use of dry erase markers, we were able to practice percentages with circle graphs, and review various material by writing on their desk to share their answers.”
With gratitude,
