It's a Small World
Funded Sep 10, 2013What wonderful news to hear that my project was fully funded. I can't wait to share this good news with my students. Time for Kids is a wonderful supplement to our core curriculum. This weekly magazine can be used in so many different ways to make learning intriguing and fun for my boys and girls. I can see my students already sitting in a Reading Center enjoying the eye-catching photographs and articles about current events happening in our world today.
All of this would not have been possible without the help of generous kind people like all of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

What's Happening in the News?
Funded Oct 11, 2012We have been receiving and using the Time for Kids weekly magazines since the beginning of this school year. The students in my classroom eagerly wait for the next issue to arrive. The wonderful news stories and colorful pictures along with fun and relevant articles make reading enjoyable for the children. They absolutely love how they get to read about events happening in the news, sometimes news they hear their parents discussing or watching on television.
Many weeks we use the weekly magazine in a center activity. This is a center which the students look forward to working in. The activity sheet which comes with most issues is fun, educational and highly engaging. Reading these news magazines have definitely helped my children strengthen reading skills.
My students and I are so appreciative for your kindness and generosity in helping us receive our Time for Kids subscription. Thank you so very much.”

Let's Sharpen Up
Funded Feb 6, 2012My students and I want to express our sincere thanks for your generous donation which enabled our classroom to receive the heavy duty pencil sharpener. This new sharpener is fantastic and allows all my students to sharpen pencils in a very short time. Now the children can get back to their work without standing in line waiting. The students were simply amazed the first time they got to use it.
We have actually had other teachers come in and ask to use it for their own pencils. They all remarked how great it worked.
Again, thank you for the wonderful gift you gave to our classroom.”

Let Me Take You On a Magic Carpet Ride
Funded Nov 27, 2011I would like to express my sincere thank-you for your help in providing the beautiful classroom rug for my students. The rug is constantly being used throughout the day. The children love the bright colors and the map of the world which we've used during our Social Studies lessons.+
++
+Read aloud time is so much more enjoyable for the children now that they sit together on the carpet in front of me while I read stories to them each day after recess. They no longer have to remain seated at their desks.+
++
+Many students will take a book over to the rug throughout the day when their work is finished. It is not unusual to find a small group of students sitting together on the carpet while working on an assignment.+
++
+Again, thank-you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Hear Ye, Hear Ye - Read All About It !
Funded Sep 14, 2011Thank you for you kindness and generosity. The Weekly Reader which my class receives has really been a hit with my students. The Weekly Readers make up a center in my classroom which the students love going to.
The Time for Kids weekly reader is just as interesting for my students. We usually read through this weekly magazine together discussing the articles as we read. The children enthusiastically look forward to this time each week.
Your donations have made a huge impact on my students. They are becoming much more aware of the world around them. I've had children come in and share that they saw a story on the news about a topic which we read about in one the weekly magazines.
Thank you all so much for this”

weekly Time for Kids magazine subscription. The students eagerly look forward each
week to receiving the next issue. I have the children asking when they will get to read
the next issue of Time for Kids each week.
Time for Kids has really captured the students' interest in a wide and diverse area of topics.
has made the students want to research and learn more about the topics included in the
weekly magazine..
I can't thank you enough for providing this wonderful and enriching opportunity for the students
in my classroom this school year.”
