My special needs students are studying community helpers this year such as teachers, police officers, bus drivers, plumbers, bakers, mail carriers, firefighters, grounds keepers, and others. Our grand finale project for the lessons will be for each child to choose the community helper career that they like the best and make a poster containing information about the career. I would love for the my students to be able to engage in some imaginative play and be able to dress up as the community helper they have chosen and be able to present their project dressed up as their chosen community helper.

About my class
