First, some of the materials, like the wobble cushions and wobble chair will allow my students who have difficulty sitting still to move in their seats without disturbing other students. These students can stay in their own seats without having to get up and move around, which is often distracting to others. Secondly, the sensory toys and timer are good visuals for my students to use for stress relief and anxiety. These visuals will help calm my students and allow them to visually see when time is almost up to finish their work. Finally, the sand and the sensory bins will help my students learn the way they learn best- with their senses. They will be able to not only see objects, but feel items as they search for them. The different textures in the sensory bins is great for my students that have sensory issues.
