The supplies I am requesting for my students will help grow our library and allow for flexible seating in our classroom. These seats will not only be used during classroom library time, but also during independent work time and in the calm down corner. I believe giving students a choice is extremely important in their education. This not only will help them later in life to make choices but it also allows them to take ownership of their learning. It helps them assess how they learn best and most comfortable. It also makes them feel important and powerful to be able to choose their own seat to grow their knowledge in. The leveled books will be used in our classroom library for all of the students to share. As the year progresses so do the students reading levels. I want to make sure that they have new fresh books to choose during library time. This will get them excited to read and also excited to better their reading to progress to a new and higher level.
