We are a first grade inclusion classroom in an urban district in NJ. Most of the children are in need of academic interventions in our classroom. Many come from families where English is not spoken at home, and many parents cannot read much English. Many of the children have not mastered letter sounds in Kindergarten, so we are working on this as we begin to read.
