My project will not only expose students to the world of Acrylic paint and canvas, but it the materials will help us replenish and explore new ways to use new materials in our art room. With new blank canvases, acrylic paint and new brushes my students will be able to experiment with the elements of art and principles of design to create an artwork of their choosing. The budget at my school site is remotely small in relation to the 375 students I see weekly. With this project, I will be able to spread the materials throughout all of my high school classes and expose students to many different styles of acrylic painting.
