Our school is home to a dual immersion program in which half of our students are English speakers and the other half are native Spanish speakers. Half of our instruction occurs in Spanish, and this provides our students with the opportunity to become bilingual and bi-literate citizens. We are in a small neighborhood public school that has adopted this great model, and we are trying to provide these learners with the same kinds of classroom resources as they would have in an English speaking classroom.
