  • Reading Hideaway In The Library

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Thank you so much for the reading hideaway! It was been a wonderful addition to our library. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

The students are excited to have this and we will continue to get more items like this in our library and we couldn't do it without your help. Thank you for your dedication to the community, to our students and to help us to instill a lifelong love of reading. It is so important. The first step in education is getting our youngest students to not only read but to love it and enjoy it! Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. DeFlora

  • Fun Creative Library Makerspace

    Funded Dec 20, 2022

I can't thank you enough for the wonderful resources for our school library! The items have brought such smiles to our students' faces and have been such a fun way to foster their creativity. It has been so exciting to watch them grow and learn this year.

We have been using the items in the library as makerspace materials. Makerspace is a a collaborative work space inside a school, library or separate public/private facility for making, learning, exploring and sharing that uses high tech to no tech tools. Typically after a student has checked out a book they will use some of the materials while they are waiting for their classmates. It has brought huge smiles to our children's faces because they get to be creative; they all really enjoyed the mosaic sticker puzzles most.

Your generosity has been nothing short of remarkable and the students, staff and myself can not thank you enough. I hope you enjoy the pictures of our students enjoying their library's new makerspace materials!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. DeFlora

iPads would be a wonderful addition to our school library. Students would be able to participate in projects they could not necessarily do on the laptops, such as make movies, take pictures etc. They would be able to sign out the laptops and take them to their classroom if they were working on a project in the classroom. Students today are so technology savvy and I think our students here would really appreciate having iPads to work on in addition to desktop and lap top computers. I think it would make them more excited about learning and what’s to come.
