I Am Ready to L.E.A.R.N.
Funded Mar 13, 2023Flexible seating allows students to make choices that work best to help them learn! In our school, we aim to create a learning environment that meets the needs and interests of all our learners. Our school focuses on five core values of LEARNing and one of our core values is achieving our goals. With flexible seating, students have the opportunity to learn in an environment that works best for their individual needs.
The students were very enthusiastic and excited to start using the flexible seating that we received! So far, our classroom favorites are the rocker seats! The students love using them when completing their independent work!”

T Is for Technology!
Funded Nov 18, 2020The purpose of my project was to actively engage my students in learning. By integrating technology into the classroom allows to help increase students' creativity and opportunities for learnings. Having iPads in the classroom has allowed students to practice and apply their learnings in both math and literacy in fun ways!
Technology helps to address the various needs and learning styles of all students.
With the help of iPads, my students have been exposed to a variety of programs that have enhanced their learning. Through the use of math and literacy apps, I able to differentiate my instruction to meet the needs of each individual students.
Many of my students also receive service such as occupational therapy and speech-language therapy. Having these iPads have also allowed my students to log into their Google Meets sessions in order to attend their recommended services.
Thank you once again for your generosity! It is truly appreciated during this time!”

Check Out Our Fine Fine Skills!
Funded Oct 10, 2019The purpose of my project was to incorporate resources to help with my students fine motor skills. By improving their fine motor skills it will also helps them improve in their academics. I try to incorporate hands on materials in my every day lessons to keep my students engaged and motivated. By the end of the school year, my students' goal is to improve their fine motor skills such as shoe tying, hand and eye coordination. My hope is that with the necessary resources students will be able to apply the skills that they have learned into their daily lives.
Students are placed into center rotation. The students are able to pick from the various resources that were funded by my project. During this time, I rotate from student to student to see how students apply their learnings. Each and every one of them already have a new go-to game and I have enjoyed seeing the excitement that it brings to their faces!

Let the Games Begin!
Funded Mar 16, 2019The purpose of my project was to incorporate some fun math games into our everyday lessons. I am so thankful that our project was fulfilled in such a short period of time. Math is taught everyday in my classroom and has become part of our daily routine. I tell my students that math is something that we must know to use no matter how old we are. By the end of the school year, my students' goal is to attain a variety of math strategies that they can apply to daily life. My hope is that these math games will encourage my students to enjoy and apply all the math skills that they have learned.
Students are assigned a math group. While in these math groups, the students circulate in math centers. At each center the students must apply a different math strategy that they have been taught. During this time, I route from center to center to see how the students apply their learning to complete the given task. Each group has the opportunity to play the math game at least once. Each and every one of them already have a new go-to game and I have enjoyed seeing the excitement that it brings to their faces!
Thank you once again for your generosity. It is truly appreciated.”

I am so thankful that our project was fulfilled in such a short period of time. My students start off their day reading. Reading is a very important part of academic success. By the end of the school year, my students goal is to move up at least three reading levels or more. My hope is that with these books will encourage my students to enjoy and appreciate reading.
Students are assigned reading bags that have specific books on their reading level. During this independent reading time, I read with students individually to work on certain skills to build on their comprehension.
