Have you ever wanted to read the newest book or use the newest technology only to be told that you will have to wait? Then you find out that you are the 20th person in line. Our students are eager to research an interesting topic, find books, use robots, and learn coding. The only problem is the lack of technology. The students have not had consistent access to technology to learn skills like coding, robotics, or even research. When the students receive these tablets, they will be devices that can be used to enhance critical thinking and learning. Educational escape scenarios (Breakout EDU), learning to code, controlling the library Spheros and the First Lego League Robot would become common place activities that are now limited due to lack of technology. This is the crucial out-of-the-box critical-thinking that all students need in the 21st century. With the devices located in the library, they will also assist students in researching information through our databases as well as finding books to read that interest them. Having them in the school library means that all students will have access to the devices and they will not be limited to one class or grade-level.
